Trying to stand up for sexual assault/abuse/trafficking victims is noble for sure and rape jokes obviously wouldn’t be funny. But that is not what is happening in this post.

Motherfucker did not just say "a little date rape"

This is the wrong take. Instead of saying he got too much time for "date rape" (and considering the harrowing story of Jane Doe 1 and the way it was suppressed by the Church of Scientology I'm not so sure you've read about the severity of these charges) you should ask why a drunk driver got so little time.

But killing one person drunk driving is a less severe crime than a serial rapist in my opinion.

I usually don't respond to people with 88 in their name but I figured if an ignorant person read your comment without someone addressing it they might get the wrong impression.

Good thing it was only a little date rape, I'd hate to see what a lot of date rape looks like.

He got the max sentence because of his actions in attempting to suppress the victims. That's a malicious, ongoing act. A negligent act usually doesn't get the max sentence.

30 years is drops in the bucket compared with the horror that he put his victims through. They have to suffer with that trauma, that pain, the mistrust of other human beings, for the rest of their lives.

The fact that you think that any kind of rape at all deserves any amount of leniency is very telling of the kind of person you are.
