“I won’t stand for it. Would we see the same reaction if the activists were far-right?”

Not at all, Liz, not at all. The far-right would use violence

I’ve learned how powerful the unelected bureaucracy is. You have to win in November … you have to dismantle the leftist state … they are devious, they are ruthless and they are out to get you.

    Those are called voters.

Well, it also included bankers and other financial types, economists and captains if industries, classic leftist material and bureaucracy according to truss, who were all hearing the economic equivalent of "terrain beep boop pull up" from their instruments and started yelling for somebody to do something.

I felt a little bit sorry for her before I watched the video...and...hearing her say "It's the economy, stupid" and then the banner...it's a masterpiece. I can't stop watching it 😁

[Truss complained that the British press wasn't] “particularly deferential to politicians”

Why should they be? Their job should be to inform the public, not suck up to those in power.

They suppressed free speech... by speaking.

I don't really get the joke, though. Lettuce?

There was a bet at the time she came into office that she would last less than an iceberg lettuce because of her outrageous policy proposals. She lasted 45 days before the pension funds collapsed and she was replaced, meanwhile, the lettuce persevered in its side dish career.

They can never laugh it off, that's all they need to do, but they don't have the capacity to laugh at themselves.

To paraphrase a popular English football (soccer) chant:

🎶 It's happened again. It's happened again. Liz Truss' lettuce, it's happened again! 🎶

Liz Truss makes for a better parody version of herself than the best comedian. She's is so inept in public.

Such a shame on the activists to spread disinformation. It was Lizzy who crushed the economy, #NOT THE LETTUCE!
