Woof, one of the only draws of being a mercenary is that the pay is supposed to be several times that of a national uniformed soldier, with no additional 4 year contract as there is in the military.

You just KNOW that Ukraine will pay these "volunteers" 12 bucks an hour, and will NOT let them go home if they reconsider.

I mean this is pretty straightforward, they’ve been selling the US Military as an easy out for people with few options or skills for decades, there’s no war that we are actively participating in, so it makes sense that they’d just choose some other active armed conflict that the US has vested interests in.
