Somehow we elected that fool twice and then elected someone so bad it made him look good

The first time, the Conservatives on the Supreme Court stopped the vote counting when it looked like Bush would lose Florida. The legal justification used was "because we want Bush to win".

The second time was a combination of Swift Boating and the man who oversaw the Ohio part of the election, literally worked for the Bush Campaign. Which turned out like this.

It's why the GOP keeps insisting there's cheating during elections, because they do it.

It's also why they insist any leftist with any platform is "funded by Soros" because they're all funded by shady billionaires.

I've heard that he didn't complete the sentence because he didn't want a record of him saying "shame on me".

And yet what he DID say got memed WAY harder than "shame on me" ever would have.

Yeah but it got memed a decade after he left office. Flubbing up one quote is much better than giving the press a sound clip of you saying "shame on me" while running for reelection after one of the most controversial presidencies.

The first drop of 100 pre-sale tickets for Fyre Festival II went on sale Monday for $499 a pop and sold out within a day, according to the festival's website.

So 100 people have more money than sense.

Are we even sure those are real sales? They only made 100 tickets available. It’s far more reasonable to assume that they “released 100 tickets” and then had a grifter friend purchase them all immediately. You’d be able to say that you sold out. Then you ride the wave of free publicity that you get from news article like this. Seems like grifting 101.

If I knew then what I know now about the first fire fest, I would have considered trying to get tickets.

I have fairly low standards for a vacation, usually I like to go camping so spartan accomodations, meh food, etc. are pretty much par for the course. I usually do a good bit better for myself than the fyre fest provided, but I could make do just fine with what was available.

But man, I would have loved to watch all the entitled rich assholes melting down in-prson in real-time.

To be fair I did see a guy write online that he bought a ticket to the festival when the prices went way down claiming to be at most middle class.

Somebody should give a ticket to the guy who won his ticket in a raffle
    last time they had it.

Even if it's shitty, at least it gives these losers something to talk about compared to the rest of their vapid wastes of lives.

The guy is a pathological scam artist and liar.

The documentary showed when he was out on bail, he got caught doing similar ticket scams again!

It’s almost funny at this point because this seems to be all he knows how to do. I’m sure we’ll hear about this again and he’ll be going back to jail at some point.

I highly recommend the Netflix documentary about the first one. Very entertaining with a dosage of head shaking and sadness.
