Two episodes to go. I'm gutted this is going to be the end, just as the show truly found its stride and grew the beard. Feels a lot like the end of Enterprise. Every season has been better than the last, and the earlier episodes were pretty good. I recently started rewatching S1 after getting an IRL friend into it and he's absolutely loving it. DISCO gave us something unique and different, and if you ask me, Trek is a big enough tent to try new things sometimes, even if they don't always work out the way they hoped.
If Michelle Paradise ever reads this - you've done incredible work and I'm sorry so many of the fans are haters. Looking forward to what comes next.
I've seen a lot of disagreement but I agree with you.
When Discovery was first announced, I thought the Crossfield class ship was the ugliest thing I had ever seen. At this point in time, I can't believe we only have two episodes to go. I've become more attached to Discovery than I was with Voyager. It is probably wishful thinking, but I hope we see Discovery and her crew once in a while in the Starfleet Academy show, maybe a straight to Paramount+ movie in a few years.
I really enjoyed season one and the ending to season 4 is probably my most favorite set of episodes in all of Star Trek. I feel like the shows wings are getting clipped right after they grew.
Agreed on all counts! I was personally not a big fan of S1-S3 at all, but S4 really blew me away and this season is even better. It really sucks that they decided to stop it after it finally found it's flow. Like you said I am at least glad they experimented with something different.

Right, especially season 4 and season 5 were (are) phenomenal! Genuinely, without any irony or sarcasm, I must say that imo, the last 15 or so episodes of Discovery are some of the best Trek ever made
