i got banned from mstdn.social for unknown reasons .. just got an email out of the blue one day saying they'd warned me and now i was banned.. no f'n idea what it was about

Mastodon seems very user unfriendly and I'm seeing a lot of concerning things here in this thread about it too. Am I missing anything by ignoring it?

There's a few anarchists I follow on the kolektica instance, I've also been searching for a more leftist mastodon instance

I can't help. I'm only commenting to say that I tried to set up accounts on a few instances and backed tf out when they insisted on adding a valid email. Can't remember what they were, unfortunately.
