[–] conciselyverbose@kbin.social 10 points 2 years ago (1 child) Well I got an in person demo reservation for next week. Can't buy it any time soon, but I very much want to. permalink fedilink source hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] dpkonofa@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago (1 child) They just moved the date up on my shipment and I have a spot to try it out in-store today. Pretty excited for this. I’ve owned ever major headset before and this is the one I’m most excited about because of the spatial abilities and the crossovers in the ecosystem. My main use case is movies and media so I can’t wait to create content for this thing. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] conciselyverbose@kbin.social 7 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 child) I really want to build out apps for it. I'm also really into actually having sufficient resolution to have virtual displays that can actually have a meaningful amount of text on them without being a trainwreck. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] dpkonofa@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 child) Same. Being able to have essentially iPad app windows anywhere spacially is awesome. I can’t wait for the update/future version that allows Mac apps the same. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] conciselyverbose@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago (2 children) I haven't looked, but I wonder if you'll be able to connect a Bluetooth mouse to it. All the cursor support they added to the iPad is really nice, and being able to pop up a Remote Desktop app in a window while doing whatever other shit would be really cool, too. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] MichelleG@lemmy.world [S] 6 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 child) You’re able to connect an external keyboard and mouse. I’ll test it out and report back how it works. Edit: it seems you can’t connect a mouse. It has to be the Magic Trackpad. I’ll probably create a pinned post for questions the community has about the device. From there, I’ll answer as many as I can. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] conciselyverbose@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago Awesome. I'm super jealous of you. permalink fedilink source parent [–] dpkonofa@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago I think I read somewhere that you can but it’s a touch cursor and not a pointer permalink fedilink source parent
