President Donald Trump’s endorsement wasn’t enough to power Mike Lindell to the Republican nomination for governor in Minnesota. The former MyPillow CEO is projected to lose to Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth in Tuesday’s Republican primary.

Lindell is a conspiracy theorist and strong supporter of Trump and his outlandish claims that voter fraud corrupted the 2020 presidential election. His advocacy made him a target for a series of defamation lawsuits but won Trump’s support.

“Mike Lindell deserves a BIG WIN IN MINNESOTA today,” Trump said Tuesday on his Truth Social platform. “Nobody has worked harder, and given up so much, in fighting for free and fair Elections.”

Though he had support from the national leader of the Republican Party, Minnesota Republicans wanted someone else to be their standard-bearer in the governor’s race, endorsing health care industry executive Kendall Qualls.

Minnesota Republican Party chairman Alex Plechash said Minnesota Republicans were surprised when Trump endorsed Lindell in July.

“We strongly support the President and his agenda, but Minnesota Republicans must choose the candidate best positioned to defeat Amy Klobuchar,” Plechash said in a statement last month

Why is every MAGA person just a grifter who smells their own farts for fun?

Same thing happened in GA. Trump just moved on and endorsed the one that beat his pick.

Oh man, Q Anon Anonymous did an episode on Mike Lindell's life, and this guy's entire life is punctuated by making it big and losing it all over and over. His life could be the plot of an Oscar-worthy movie

Oh darn, the guy who chopped up discarded mattresses and put them in pillows had another setback. Don't worry, I am sure Trump will just appoint him to some important position soon.

It feels sad that I felt relief that he didn't win. That's how low my faith is in the electorate at this point.

    Demuth might be worse.

She was the ringleader for the state house coup back in 2025 (where they tried to elect her speaker of the house after playing games with absent members.)

Now, to be fair, looking into the results of a Republican primary and expecting to feel hopeful is like going to the barn animals exhibit at a county fair and expecting to smell something other than animal shit.

I was rooting for him, because his residence is in Texas, and he votes in Texas, so he is ineligible to run for office in Minnesota. I was hoping he'd win the primary, then they'd disqualify him, and the Democrat Klobuchar could run unopposed.

because his residence is in Texas, and he votes in Texas, so he is ineligible to run for office in Minnesota.

Then why was he running for office in Minnesota? Why not run for office in Texas?

(Or at least change residence first. Changing residence is pretty easy when you've got money.)

First of all, he doesn't have any money, he's broke as shit. He's lost lawsuits, and destroyed his company's brand image. He had a great thing going until he went MAGA Crazy.

Secondly, he's from Minnesota, and only moved to Texas after Minnesota became enemy territory. Now he's trying to have it both ways.

    The numbers:

The Associated Press called the race for Demuth at 11:26 p.m. ET as the state speaker had secured 43.6% of the 93% of the votes counted.

Lindell, who was backed by President Donald Trump, came a distant second with 32.3%% of the votes.

Kendall Qualls, a former healthcare executive who has backed the Minnesota GOP, placed third with 21.4% of the vote.

Klobuchar won the Democratic primary with 89.6% of the votes, and polls show her with a wide lead in the general election.

It's actually a bit better. Minnesota does have open primaries, but you can only pick 1 to vote in per primary.

So only 32% of people that chose to vote in the republican primary.

Roughly 685,000 people voted in the democratic primary while only 413,000 people voted in the Republican primary.

Yeah like he’s literally refusing to concede, stating his “experts” have “uncovered anomalies”. He was supposed to have had a press conference by now…

I'm in no way an expert on election matters, but I believe the next step in the playbook is to enrage his supporters, and get them to storm the state capitol building.

Then comes the press conference where he can blatantly lie about how he was in no way responsible for it.

haha Republicans are such morons. They voted for a health care industry executive as their "standard bearer" because of course they did. Not this this shitbird would have been better, just sayin'.

Isnt he claiming fraud already and not conceding?

Are there odds Trump does an early test run here to put Lindell into the race and show clear "voter fraud"?

By voter fraud i mean people actually just voting

Just a quick reminder that nobody ever has to concede. They win or lose and that's that. In case anyone was worried.

Ever see the video of him at some MAGA conference, and some 12 year old YouTuber asks him for a source that the 2020 election was stolen, and My Pillow Guy starts spewing conspiracy after conspiracy, with the kid asking for a source, until he finally says "So your source is just Trust Me, Bro?"

Watching him get owned by a 10 year old was beautiful.

    Found it, more or less.
