I've used it this way out of desperation in a few places, but it's quite difficult to do so when there are more than two of them shooting at you (or one if you lack cover)

It’s weird, sometimes I feel like the Hyena hits really hard and then other times it feels very underwhelming. I can’t quite put my finger on its effectiveness.
