IRIS2 is expected to consist of 290 satellites in low and middle Earth orbit, compared to more than 10,000 active Starlink satellites currently in low orbit, operated by Musk’s US-based SpaceX.

Expected to launch in 2029 according to TFA

    For those who didn't read the article, IRIS 2 is for governments, not for individual users. So you can't compare it with Starlink.

    Telesat Canada launches in October, 2026. The big problem is they are using SpaceX to launch.
