There's a big difference between the left side and right side. The left side was a bunch of dudes just going by what felt like common sense, mostly cultural values and lived experience.

The right side has been bombarded with a century of propaganda first researched and developed by fascists then modernized and weaponized with data science and computers.

Social media is fucking evil. Corporations know exactly how to weaponize cultural values like "respect the grind" to make people scared of working less than 40 hours a week. It's not perfect but they can mold views because people just give their 2 year olds a tablet to get programmed young without a second thought.

I work in kitchens and find it so annoying how much pride people have on how a $25 an hour job is worth selling their entire life.
