Madame Gao was an excellent villain in the Netflix Daredevil era, across all the shows good or bad she was excellent. I was really hoping she might pop up again in a future story, especially with The Hand making a return in the new upcoming Spider-Man film.

She had a very nuanced and balanced acting style. Scenes with her in the Marvel shows were like peering into an organised crime meeting - she really manifested the character to the screen and there's no chance to remember the people on screen are performers.
