Good stuff. I think there's an some personal sites that are web devs trying neat things and that leads to larger sites like visualrambling.space and such, but most people's personal sites aren't doing anything crazy and following these rules will help (see also the smolweb movement). But worst of all are people on substack, which will load 12 MB of javascript on any random text+static pics page.
