You can't 100% complete it.

The AI is stupid af.

NPCs tend to stand in your way.

Most NPCs have terrible design.

Somebody broke the weather mechanics.

Worst. quests. ever.

The grind is meaningless and unrewarding.

If I kill something I'm the bad guy.

No respawn.

Also bugs. Literally.

Because the quests are boring. "Deliver this pizza" okay cool. Now I get $5 which isn't even enough to buy the pizza I just delivered! How am I going to buy a full suit of armor at this rate??

I don't have the stats to survive a conversation let alone outside.

Because Outside is multiplayer only. Still waiting on the update for solo play.

Cause when I enter random people's houses I get shot and imprisoned and charged with trespassing.

The pay to win mechanics of going outside are bullshit, the pvp balance is fucked, and the exhaustion mechanics are a nightmare.

Because I have shit knees.

Because the LUCK stat is ridiculously overpowered and decides virtually everything, and it's decided by RNG at birth! Who the fuck thought that was good game design?

The graphics, art direction, and animations are the best I've ever seen though, I must admit... yet people with the BLIND permanent debuff can't ever see it, or do so at a much lower quality, which is so fucking dumb.

Outside burns and stinks all the time!

Because they aren't open enough... and leveling up is super hard sometimes.

Because when I shoot people with my crossbow, the cops chase me.

And there's no dragons or snowbears.

Still waiting for that one bug to be fixed where they always catch me when I try stealing stuff in supermarkets, no matter if they look the other way or not.

Outside isn't a post-nuclear Hellscape. Yet.

Because I like open world games. Not life.

For the same reason that most video games don't have you playing as the random NPC who has one line about how great the festival is and another line about how awful it is that the monsters destroyed the festival and doesn't do anything else for the rest of the game.

Because outside is where all the people are.
