I was watching some conservative news a few days back and it was so funny how many times the said "alleged" or "allegedly" when talking about abuse by Israel on people a part of the freedom flotilla. While simultaneously showing videos of them getting beaten by Israeli officers.
That picture looks like someone in an Emma Stone costume. Why are all the celebrities looking like uncanny valley versions of themselves lately? Is this just a sign I'm getting old, or is it some stupid AI filtering that is fucking up the pictures?

I realise the media really doesn't help, and some of it is downright complicit/corrupt... But every time I see a post complaining about them using the word "alleged" I feel like I have to remind people that saying a crime definitely occurred, when it's not judged as such in a legal setting, is going to get your ass heavily sued or facing your own legal proceedings.
It's not always complicitness and "both sides"ing things, it's just covering their ass legally.

It's not the job of journalists to formulate claims, only to attribute them. Yes it sounds funny sometimes but that doesn't mean that isn't actually fucking important.
