I remember seeing a clip of Jackie Chan in a documentary talking about why the fight scenes in original kung fu movies were so much more visceral than American made ones, one of the techniques he describes is filming a punch from a wide-angle, then using a close up for the impact, but importantly having the same half-second of action in both shots so you would connect the two. Anyway i think of that every time I see this phenomenon permalink fedilink source parent [–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago (1 child) Yes, so rare to see one of these without a repeated word. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] IndiBrony@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 child) Indeed, so excruciatingly rare to see see one of these without a repeated word. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 1 point 2 years ago Actually so excruciatingly rare that we might never again again get to see one of these without a repeated word. permalink fedilink source parent
