Vucic literally spent a year illegally registering people from outside of Belgrade (including Serbs from Bosnia and Croatia) to Belgrade addresses and bussed them on the election day to vote, just so he could narrowly win local elections. That is the main outrage. These protests aren't even organized by opposition parties, people are just that pissed.

SNS gained prominence and became the largest opposition party due to their anti-corruption platform and the protests in 2011 at which they demanded early elections.

    How the turntables.

Across the globe politicians are legally allowed to lie through their teeth and not face any consequences ... with Western nations being the leaders.

I want a leader - any leader - to challenge that BS and stand up for what's right and true. But it seems that those are the ones who end up in far-flung jails on trumped upped charges or murdered for being honest.

The whole f'ing world is for shit and feels like we exist in hell.

When times feel dark, I remember the words of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

The arc of the Moral Universe is long, but it bends toward justice.

And also the words of Rabbi Tarfon

It is not upon you to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it.

In other words, the world does gradually get better, but you can't always see it happening because it takes a very long time. That's why we have to do everything we can today to try to help it along.
