I haven't made time for it. permalink fedilink source hideshow 4 child comments replies: [โ] Manjushri@piefed.social 9 points 7 months ago (1 child) It's not even remotely as bad as S08 of GoT. It's not as good as season one was, of course. But then season one had a lot going for it that made it unique. Season 5 still has those things but the shine has worn off, those things are no longer fresh. The writing is still good in my opinion and I'm enjoying it so far. You simply cannot compare it to GoT S08 though, with Arya the Ninja teleporting all over Westeros and then shanking the Winter King despite the big build up that Jon would need to be the one to do kill him. Or having Winterfel defenders stage all their infantry behind their siege weapons. You will never see anything as bad as GoT S08 again unless L Ron Hubbard rises from the grave and starts making TV shows. Some people just need to hate on stuff. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [โ] Rusty@lemmy.ca 6 points 7 months ago Or having Winterfel defenders stage all their infantry behind their siege weapons. Don't forget sending Dothraki light cavalry into a suicide charge at the start of the battle. permalink fedilink source parent [โ] aeronmelon@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago No. Some people are tired of it, but this season is actually interesting to me. Season 3 is where the show sagged, IMO. permalink fedilink source parent
