The fact that younger people prefer conservatism is indeed notable since it's the same idea that basically will condemn them to serve older generations forever (see what happened to the '80 generation for example who are in their 40s but still on entry level jobs).

I agree with you but I was also suggesting that there's something wrong in how this is conveyed/communicated externally. Assuming it's reasonable to think in one way and frowning upon anyone who disagrees as if they were morons or delusional doesn't help either.

Which is why many abusers deliberately seek those positions of power in the first place, and why having a position of authority is never enough on its own (or shouldn't be) to deem someone trustworthy or safe (if anything, they deserve more scrutiny).

It's a well-known psychological thing where people, once having gained power, money and/or authority, no longer feel that the rules are for them.

It's weird how pervasive it is. Could happen to any of us.
