That is known as wanting to "have your cake and eat it too". Most people learned this fact before they hit middle school, but apparently these guys missed that day.
Wanting to be paid a fair wage is not wanting "to have your cake and eat it too". These companies can afford to pay their workers fairly and choose not to.
Ok, that is their choice. Don't like it? Don't work there and don't buy their product.
For safety reasons the scabs likely shouldn't be allowed to touch automotive components.
The safety and quality of both the work and the product are severely diminished when completed by scabs during a strike.
And it's also a very basic principle of work, middle school level even, that certain jobs require training before putting people to work.
