So there's more oversight. It's like flying, but to an even greater extent. Because people are afraid of flying and crashes are very public and news worthy, the FAA does a great job investigating incidents and requiring safety improvements. They've made it so flying is orders of magnitude safer than driving. A similar thing happens with nuclear.
