Nostr migration will gain most or many of us as in the post

Gab freeforum: https://gab.com/groups/72118

Freeforum is on scored but kinda inactive: https://scored.co/c/freeforum

(edit: I feel Scored is kind of dead as it's not federated, but it would be good to get people from there to Nostr temporarily)

ExplodingHeads backup Scored community (?): https://scored.co/c/explodingheads

We can migrate to other Lemmy or Kbin instances (recommended ones?)

Any other forums to check out from the Reddit Alternatives sticky?https://old.reddit.com/r/RedditAlternatives/comments/1467a5s/find_alternatives_for_ourselves_megathread_third/

The app may collect a per-device token, your public key, and a preferred Relay to connect to and provide push notification services through Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging.

  • It doesn't point to malintent. It means they make use of Google Play Services, but which is bad for privacy. The solution is to flash your device with a ROM that doesn't have Play Services, if that's possible, or to disable all the permissions for Play Services. But then you'll receive notifications with a delay, which is probably okay for an app like Amethyst. But even Session needs to use Play Services to deliver notifications in realtime.
