I really feel like the word ideology has been abused to breaking point (not specifically here, but a little)

    No, the US conservatives are using the word the right way, and they know exactly the consequences of their actions.

    The word is not being abused. They know their policies are ideological, but still push forward, not because it’s morally correct, but because it will benefit them.

    After all, they created the ideology.
