Yes. If guns were banned, then people would resort to preparing their meals with some other weapon like a knife.

If guns were banned then knives probably would become more common.

That would be a good thing though, wouldn't it? (I'm not a knife merchant I swear.)

I've carried a knife daily for 30+ years; more people should carry knives so they stop asking to borrow mine when they need one.
