[–] DirkMcCallahan@lemmy.world 2 points 3 years ago (1 child) I just can't with video tutorials. It's text or nothing for me. I don't have the patience (or stamina) to sit through 100 crappy/useless videos to finally find one that's relevant to my problem. permalink fedilink source hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] randomname01@feddit.nl 1 point 3 years ago (1 child) Text + images is the best combination, though sometimes videos allow you to see that one very specific thing that written tutorials don’t mention because it should be self evident. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Nova_Sempa@lemmy.world 1 point 3 years ago So true. For some reason I prefer text, probably because I can search through it quicker but when there's no images its harder. Like a recent example, I was missing a bunch of collectibles in a game and couldn't figure out what location was where from the wiki and it was without images, so even trickier. I then had to find a video walkthrough which luckily had the YouTube timestamps meaning I could quickly flick through once I knew I had each one. permalink fedilink source parent
