▲ 21 ▼ Bazzite download keeps failing (feddit.org) submitted 2 years ago by Duke_Nukem_1990@feddit.org to c/linux@lemmy.ml 16 comments fedilink hide all child comments I wanted to try Bazzite but for some reason the download from bazzite.gg is very slow (around 1-2MB/sec) and also fails at some point, every time. Does anyone know this issue? Is there a torrent for Bazzite that I am not aware of?

You could just install another Fedora Atomic flavor and then rebase it to Bazzite: https://universal-blue.discourse.group/t/updates-rollback-and-rebasing-on-bazzite/36#how-do-i-swap-between-bazzite-and-other-fedora-atomic-desktop-images-21 permalink fedilink source hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Duke_Nukem_1990@feddit.org [S] 5 points 2 years ago (2 children) I wanted to have a look at it via LiveUSB first tho. But thats a good idea nonetheless, thanks! permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] RootBeerGuy@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 2 years ago* (2 children) Does it even have a live USB? I thought that's not a thing with immutable distros? At least Kinoite didn't have a live USB option. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] IrritableOcelot@beehaw.org 3 points 2 years ago Silverblue doesnt either... I think you're right, it's an immutable distro thing. permalink fedilink source parent [–] AlligatorBlizzard@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 years ago (1 child) I wasn't able to find one. Which, if anyone saw my shitpost, is the real reason I installed it on my crapbook. I found out that the installer is pretty great, it just worked out of the box (at least on that computer, my gaming machine has an Nvidia graphics card...), and that GMOME isn't really for me. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Duke_Nukem_1990@feddit.org [S] 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) Where did you get the iso from? Or was this some time ago? Cause actually getting the iso is my first problem :D permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] RootBeerGuy@discuss.tchncs.de 5 points 2 years ago (1 child) Seeing your post I was actually worried because next week I wanted to install Bazzite on my laptop. For me the download worked fine though, 3-4 MB/s, its the bazzite Asus nvidia image. So it seems more of a problem with your internet connection somehow, more specific to wherever they store downloads. Are you downloading with a download manager that could retry connecting when it fails? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Duke_Nukem_1990@feddit.org [S] 1 point 2 years ago (1 child) Did the download finish? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] RootBeerGuy@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) Yes. Admittedly I don't have time to test if it really boots. I wanted to do that some time end of next week when I got a day off to take care of stuff. permalink fedilink source parent [–] boredsquirrel@slrpnk.net 2 points 2 years ago Fedora Atomic has no liveUSB permalink fedilink source parent
