Honestly I never thought this way when I first got in to watches. I wouldn’t call myself a watch snob by any means, but I now understand how people become one. The more you immerse yourself in the world of watches, YouTube reviews, etc, it seems like the less able you are to appreciate a quartz movement, which is objectively better in many ways. I noticed that I also appreciate heritage a lot more now, and don’t like mods or homages nearly as much as I used to, although I still have a few that I’ve built myself.
