Clinic staff described packed waiting rooms, full parking lots and phones ringing nonstop in the final days before the state's new law takes effect.

Abortion clinics in Florida say they have been trying to see as many patients as possible before the state's ban on abortions after six weeks takes effect Wednesday.

In Jacksonville, a clinic called A Woman’s Choice provided around double its usual volume of abortions Monday, according to Amber Gavin, its vice president of advocacy and operations.

The waiting room has been so crowded that patients' companions were asked to stay in their cars or drop people off to free up space, Gavin said. Parking spaces were also scarce, prompting some patients to park off-site and walk to the clinic.

“Tomorrow is going to look very different,” Kelly Flynn, CEO of A Woman’s Choice, said Tuesday. “A lot of patients will come in for the consult and be told that we can’t see them.”

At least it should be paternity renounce legal also. Not all men want to be a father..

So... you're saying because it will be illegal for women to get abortions until after most of them know they're pregnant, it should be legal for a man to renounce their paternity?

Cruelty is the point. Republicans prove it over and over.

I agree about Republicans, but is the person I replied to a Republican, or did they try to make a good point and really, really screw up?

Not sure their point was a good one. They are fine with abortion being legal but want a guy to be able to not have to pay child support if a woman does not get an abortion. I could see that argument in the case where a condom broke but I think they are advocating for it in all cases.

Instead, free vasectomies should be offered for those who want one. You don't want to be a father, get a vasectomy.

Whatever if it's abortion legal or illegal, paternity renounce should be legal, men should be fighting for their rights also..

What do you mean "too?" You're saying men deserve rights and women don't.

Women deserve rights and men also, if women are fighting for legal abortion men should be fighting for legal renounce of paternity.

How about we work on stopping the thing that kills people first and then work on the money issue?

You do know women die in childbirth every day, right?

Then women should get their tubes tied if they don't want to die of childbirth. I don't know if it's legal but it should be.

It's the same argument someone gave me about vasectomy and getting your testicles removed just in other words. Dumb as fuck tbh.

Okay? Why are you giving me a stupid argument someone else gave you? If it's a stupid argument, don't make it.

Extremes are both wrong, I'm just saying if there is legal abortion for women then there should be legal for men to renounce to their paternity, if women are not right now ready to be mothers then men who are not right now ready to be fathers should have the option to not be one also.

If the woman is forced to be a mother, then by all means the man is forced to be a father to or pay child support. Men don't get to fucking ban abortions, and then decide to opt out of caring for that child. Should me get that right? Sure. But women should have the right to an abortion as well. If we're going to barbaric, might as well be barbaric all around. Hell, make it easier to garnish peoples wages of they neglect paying child support.

I believe you are right if women are forced to be mothers then men should be forced to be fathers but as women are fighting for legal abortion I think it will be fair if there is legal renounce option for men..

I got a vasectomy. They’re quick and easy to perform, covered mostly by insurance (at least in my case), and they’re reversible (unlike tubular ligation).

Have you considered not sticking your dick in people you don't want to impregnate? Or getting your testicles removed? Both are very effective in preventing pregnancy.

That’s some double standard bullshit right there.

You would not say that to a woman wanting to get an abortion.

I have, on multiple occasions, supported women who decided they wanted to take action to permanently prevent pregnancy, when they decided they never wanted to have children. Unfortunately, in most instances, doctors don't support women's bodily autonomy, but suggest they wait to find a man who can speak for them, or they can wait for menopause.

If a man wants his tubes tied nearly any doctor will comply.

I believe it's better if women get their womb removed as they are the ones who get pregnant, but if they want legal abortion I believe it's fair to have legal renounce also.
