Since Ukraine started the fight by attacking ethnic Russians and murdering civilians in the Donbass then don't be surprised when Russia defends it's people

    If by "defends its people" you mean "uses it as an excuse to invade the entire country of Ukraine" then... sure.

    You know the ground war would stop immediately if Russia got out of Ukraine, yes?
