Are you involved in plasma collection/donation drives/however I should phrase that? If so, I'm curious about something. I'm gay, and sexually active. I have protected sex, and I'm on prep. I do have multiple partners, though. Should I donate? Because I've always used the whole gay ban as an excuse not to, because I truly despise needles to a phobia level. I'm too sick now, but you almost certainly can volunteer at blood drives to help and the like, can even help organize them if you have access to a public space.
