Pixelfed is a good competitor for Instagram, their #1 cashcow. It has everything an Instagram competitor should have, especially the 2012 Instagram vibe where people just shared their daily life happenings through pictures instead of sharing bs for engagements. The only thing it lacks is messaging feature and the dev is working on a messaging platform for that. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] null@slrpnk.net 2 points 2 years ago I was clearly being sarcastic. There's no real evidence that Meta was intentionally hiding anything, nor is Pixelfed even close to resembling a threat to Instagram. permalink fedilink source parent
