Old people are a major segment. Also after meta was lamenting that it was dying with Gen Z, oddly people younger than that are using facebook in surprising numbers. Another thing though is that it's popular in other countries. Meta isn't just about facebook or instagram, though, they also have a gigantic asset in WhatsApp - it's huge in South America, Africa and India. permalink fedilink source parent
