I suppose one could make it- just sushi rice, nori and a spam slice... how thick? is it fried at all?

Sushi rice, saute or grill the spam to carmeliize, nori wrap....thats it. Maybe eel sauce. easy peasy.

The Hawaiian cooks I had used the can to mold the rice, eel sauce, then placed spam over the top, sliced to shape, the nori wrap.
