Not everyone is afraid of Linus or his influence. But nothing is about linus directly. It is always "upper management" and maybe that upper management person is super psychotic and manipulated linus into believing nothing happened (I know how easy that can happen). Still doesn't excuse him but that means there can be a reformation. She also talks about wanting it to turn out well for her old colleagues.
