[–] jordanlund@lemmy.one 57 points 3 years ago (1 child) Georgia passed a law back in May specifically allowing for the removal of DAs. https://apnews.com/article/brian-kemp-georgia-prosecutor-district-attorney-remove-7987cd538ab3ccdc713ae4d2b2aec32b Ostensibly, it's to be used on prosecutors who are failing to do their jobs. For example, one Georgia DA refuses to prosecute marijuana charges.
