There were based operations in india related to fighting in China and Burma for example. Frankly this article is an interesting overview. British India officially declared war on Nazi Germany Sure is a lot of Britain in there. Almost like India had no say in the matter🤔 How much of the world war was European colonial powers forcing natives of the lands they had invaded to fight their battles for them? Keep reading, not all of India was unified on that decision, and the time period played a critical role towards independence. Further, operations were based out of the country, regarding other theaters of war in Asia. Are you familiar with where India and Myanmar (then Burma) are located? I get what your trying to do so I'll head you off: colonialism is wrong, and India DID get dragged into the conflict. I'm not contesting that. You're forgetting Japan invading China and interrupting the civil war. You're forgetting Japan invading every island in between them and New Guinea. Your comment infantilizes local groups who used the war to settle local or regional rivalries. Colonial subjects were not idiots being used.
