[β] WarmSoda@lemm.ee 14 points 2 years ago (2 children) Why do people like you even bother reading jokes? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [β] TankovayaDiviziya@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago* (1 child) I know it's a joke but with the caption "nature in a nutshell" makes it as though this is perfectly legit and plants the wrong idea to people that all animal species do this. Some species would instinctively leave their young but not buffaloes. Buffaloes rarely leave their young to predators unless they know it's totally hopeless to save them. This meme could have picked a more accurate species that does this escape tactic. It seems like this joke is a recent perpetuation. I've seen in Reddit talk about it as well. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [β] WarmSoda@lemm.ee 12 points 2 years ago (2 children) Wait until you hear about all the chickens crossing roads permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [β] ripcord@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 child) Well, go on???? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [β] WarmSoda@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago Well you see, son... I didn't ask why it was (cause it's rude to impose) but I could clearly see that it was just trying to get to the other side. permalink fedilink source parent [β] ikidd@lemmy.world -2 points 2 years ago (1 child) So they have something feel superior about, probably. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [β] WarmSoda@lemm.ee -1 points 2 years ago Basically. Who the hell goes "well achully..." when they hear a joke? It's annoying. permalink fedilink source parent
