The guy at the store said “that’s a metal saw”. I said “yeh duh what else would saws be made out of.” I took it home and struggled immensely with sawing the wood trim I was using it on. It took me a solid SIX MONTHS to click in to what he meant when he said “it’s a metal saw.” permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] aksdb@lemmy.world 19 points 2 years ago (1 child) Maybe he also meant "dude, that saw is really metal". Who knows what that saw has been capable of. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] el_bhm@lemm.ee 3 points 2 years ago That saw might be capable of throwing horns. Maybe the chain was made of some such material and it's not that the saw sucked but that the chain was special. Like, I have tools made to cut metal, but they don't work on every metal. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] ThatWeirdGuy1001@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) I would accept that as an excuse if they would've mentioned it at some point. permalink fedilink source parent
