Update: !ios_dev@programming.dev has been created, temporarily managed by @Ategon@programming.dev until some mods volunteer for it

You're right, they're pretty different, though you can post from Mastodon to Lemmy I don't know if you can do the reverse.
As others have said Firefish is a better fit, also Misskey is nice (long live Ai chan!)
