    I feel like the mirror universe was such an odd choice to be the central plot device of season 1 part 2. These were kind of one off goofy episodes in the old series. We had a BDSM Kira! But making that super downer Discovery season was just depressing.

    It was a really odd choice considering the mirror universe is one of Star Trek's classic choices for filler episodes next to time travel and holo deck shenanigans.
