There's no such thing as using the internet safely.
Packets you send can be intercepted.
Websites you browse serve ads with malware.
You can be hacked.
All of these are made easier on outdated OSes.

I don't go on any old random website when on an old OS and I always make sure to use a modern browser designed to work with said OS to allow safe browsing. Like MyPal for XP
