Also, isn't Matt Gaetz a child molester? Why is he still allowed to walk free and give statements to the press? permalink fedilink source hideshow 2 child comments replies: [+] marmo7ade@lemmy.world -27 points 3 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (4 children) [deleted] permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 8 child comments replies: [–] adriaan@sh.itjust.works 28 points 3 years ago What makes you think vigilantilism is a problem with the extreme left? Just as an example off the top of my head, the murder of Ahmaud Arbery was done by right-wing looneys and defended by the far-right as morally good vigilantilism, leading to the repeal of Georgia's citizens arrest laws (i.e., their laws for legal vigilantilism). permalink fedilink source parent [–] pozbo@lemmy.world 16 points 3 years ago Which is why they are not taken seriously by anyone else on the political spectrum. Oh no, the pedophiles don't take us seriously, how sad. permalink fedilink source parent [–] paintbucketholder@lemmy.world 7 points 3 years ago* (last edited 3 years ago) This isn't hard to understand at all. Unless you want to throw out the laws that define our society and perscribe to vigilante justice based on feelings, instead of evidence and juries. A jury of his peers found Trump guilty of being a rapist, but I have yet to see a single "law and order!!! we have to rely on evidence and juries!!!" Trump follower acknowledge that. permalink fedilink source parent [–] lolcatnip@reddthat.com 3 points 3 years ago The eXtReMe LeFt! permalink fedilink source parent
