I've seen this for the past 45 years. It's the same every election. The republicans use the same tactic "if you dont vote for Bush the democrats are gonna take your guns away". Every election recycle and repeat. Gore was one of the most genuine public servants out there (which is apparent when you look at his congressional record), but he was caught in a narrative of "both sides are the same".
