It's 36°C here permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 4 child comments replies: [–] NYPariah@reddthat.com 3 points 2 years ago (1 child) You have to mentally prepare yourself before you go outside. Yeah, a heavy coat, hat and all that but you have to get your mind straight before the cold hits your skin and lungs. Howling wind doesn't help either. It's tough. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Kecessa@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 years ago (1 child) -10°c isn't so bad, it was the lower limit at which I would go running with just a spring coat and jogging pants... -25°c is where it starts to be painful to go outside. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] fatalError@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 2 years ago -10c is really not that bad. With a few layers on it's just fine. 35c+ on the other hand... Good luck with that, there is no amount of clothes you can remove to feel comfy in high temps permalink fedilink source parent [–] z500@startrek.website 2 points 2 years ago (1 child) Once you get acclimated to the cold it's not so bad if you layer up. But those first few weeks when the temperatures start dipping below 50°F I always shiver pretty hard permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] dan1101@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago Same, I'd rather be hot than cold but at the extremes at least you can layer up when it's cold. permalink fedilink source parent
