Ehhhh, it likely isn't bullshit. I've seen people include where the company is from when it's American, Chinese, and (if I'm recalling the right place) Swiss as well. When es explorer got screwed, quickpic, Nova etc, a lot of people referred to where the company was located.

Now, is that necessary? Not really, it isn't like the laws of any country are limiting how bad the company can behave. But it isn't something that only happens when it's an Israeli company.

I feel you though, I'm beyond fucking sick of Israel and Palestine being crammed into everything lately. Like, we get it's horrible over there, but this is a fucking meme community (or in this case, an fdroid one), which has zero need for the propaganda machines involved.

Then again, I'm beyond sick of anything remotely political being shoehorned in to unrelated places.
