Isn't it just the in the shortcut pane, the username with the picture of a house? Just like windows and Android forcing you to use their folder structure. I may be a bit linuxy here, but thats literally what my dad told me, and on Windows it makes more sense, to put everything in the main directory and use CAPITALS for folders only so you see they are yours. For sure one could argue macos is just different and you can use that top menu, but what are the shortcut buttons there for? Its a decision and it felt veeeery weird.
