He's currently in an open relationship but doesn't want to be. Also he doesn't get all these good feelings with that guy the way he does with me. The thing is he lives in LA and I live in NYC, so a real relationship would be difficult. I think a strong friendship with sexy benefits whenever we can meet is the way to go.
