What makes this way spicier is that he's black. He's running for office while trying to abolish the holiday that celebrates his freedom in the country he's running for office in.

    What would possess you to think south Asian and black are mutually exclusive?

    Are you seriously suggesting Vivek would have had civil rights in Georgia in 1846?

    Are you seriously suggesting modern Iowans care what country your brown skin came from?

    Black means someone of African/African American origin

    No it doesn't. E.g. Elon Musk is of African origin, and there are many black people of European origin. Black means someone with dark brown skin.
