    Like I said, lumping Indians and Arabs and Chinese and Russians all together as one big "Asian" blob has no basis in cultural reality. To then go farther and to say that Russians are more like Indians/Arabs/Chinese than they are like Ukrainians is simply incoherent.

    Christianity came from Asia. Israel is an Asian country. Think about that for a second.

    It's pretty obvious though that people from different areas of the world have different ideas from each other and tend to have more similar ideas to their neighbors and is influenced by their histories.

    You think about it all you want. I can see this was never about actual discussion- you and yours just wanted to pile on another ruzzian propaganda talking point and have your echo chamber.

    People from Russia and people from Ukraine are from a pretty fucking similar area of the world and have intertwined histories, wtf are you talking about?

    Incoherent. You're trying so hard to excuse obvious Russophobia and it isn't working because you're just... wrong. No everyone who disagrees with you is a Russian agent lol

    Nah bud- I'm not the guy who said the thing. I agree he probably worded it poorly. I wouldn't have said it that way because I agree russia and ukraine are in proximity. I also know russia shares a LOT more proximity with Asia than any European country. I'm also aware russai literally spawned from kyiv. There's a lot going on there. Which is why i don't and wouldn't bring race/location/etc into it in the first place. Especially if my country had a history of racism/corruption/etc. But again I'm not the one saying it.

    What he said vs what you guys are trying to make it is ALSO not something I would do if my country was well-known world wide for making thin propaganda pieces out of the tiniest click bait bullshit.

    The people in here all live in lemmygrad /comrade/etc and can't handle when bullshit propaganda gets pulled out and called out. That's you. Russian or otherwise you have an agenda and aren't actually up for doing research into a thing as long as it supports your narrative.

    Well I wouldn't call my enemies Asians and assert my own European identity if I was being accused of being a Nazi.

    It seems you basically agree he said the wrong thing. I have no idea why you're defending him - if it's not racism, it's at least xenophobic. "They are fundamentally different from us" isn't always Nazi shit, but it's always wrong!

    Had me in the first half- I was all set to say now you get it. Then you went right back off the deep end. You live in commutopia and fail to use critical thinking. The comment about my country was directed at Ukraine and russia and there supporters/etc. if you identify as one that's on you.

    Yeah racism is wrong regardless. No it doesn't default into making you a nazi. It makes you flawed like everyone else. But it sur isn't "OMG UR A NAZI"

    I haven't checked everyone's in here but everyone I have checked has very poignant comment histories- so, so far, it's accurate to say that everyone in here arguing isn't here for anything except more Russian propaganda

    I'm in the US, so it's absolutely pointless for me to speak out against Russia. I have zero input on that side of the war. I'm an irrelevant bystander as far as Russia is concerned. What's the point of having a fair and balanced comment history?

    But I sure as shit have input on this side of the war! I speak to other English speakers about the need to end the war from our side because they might listen. I put my efforts into pointing out that we are supporting extreme nationalists and racists, because on top of being factually true it highlights the blowback potential.

    So don't be surprised when this turns out just like Afghanistan with the US funding extremists against Russia that then turn around and attack the US.

    This is how we get the next 9/11

    History repeats.

    How very myopic of you. Us isn't supporting a resistance or terrorist group- its supporting the legitimate autonomous government against an imperialistic power grab from a dying last gasp from russia.

    History does repeat itself and traditionally russia goes into steep declines after failed power grabs. I see no reason this will be different.
