Fuck neo-nazis dressing up in drag to play leftist too. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] jimmydoreisalefty@lemmus.org 6 points 2 years ago (3 children) Neo-Nazis employ their ideology to promote hatred and racial supremacy (often white supremacy), to attack racial and ethnic minorities (often antisemitism and Islamophobia), and in some cases to create a fascist state. Not sure what "left" or "right" mean anymore. I thought nazi would be on the right? Either way this divides us instead of coming together as working class vs wealthy class. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 6 child comments replies: [–] alex@lemmy.dbzer0.com 17 points 2 years ago (1 child) Not sure what “left or “right” mean anymore. When you talk to actual people, I do not think they see it that way. I still see it as a dividing mechanism that the wealthy class uses to divide the working class. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] abbotsbury@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago (1 child) Well like it or not, some members of the working class want to perpetuate hierarchy, so it's a useful distinction. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] jimmydoreisalefty@lemmus.org 0 points 2 years ago Yes, it is a distinction, jargon used in politics. I still see it as a learning and teaching opportunity when you meet people like that. Hard to change minds and you need to listen much more than talk, neutral stances as a start then as you are more of an acquaintance you can get into the nitty-gritty topics. Thanks for pointing it out! permalink fedilink source parent [–] LemmysMum@lemmy.world [S] 12 points 2 years ago (1 child) They like "spicy socialism", socialism + authoritarianism, bigotry is preferred. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Zorque@kbin.social 11 points 2 years ago (1 child) National socialism has nothing to do with socialism.
